Training...

I'm sorry I haven't been participating in the Wednesday Weigh In's.  I'm still on track but I'm having a hard time finding the time to blog my progress reports...and I feel bad that my only blog posts lately are about weight loss.  LOL!  But onto today's title.

We are all in training mode in this house.

Lola is working really hard on walking.  She works everyday on building her core muscles and finding her centre.  We walk the house many, many times a day with the ride on gator.  Unfortunately Mommy has to be bent over holding the legs of the gator as Lola pushes it too fast.  She took two steps on the weekend to Daddy.  (of course to Daddy her very favorite person!)  Lola is also working on feeding herself now.  She absolutely refuses to be spoon fed any foods now (unless it's mommies food), even tonight she insisted on sticking her hands into her Shepherd's pie and eating it herself (what a mess!).  But we will get there.  We also work on animal flash cards daily.  I show her the picture, tell her the animal and make the noise.  For the last 3 days she has been mooing back at me, she also likes to Rrraaawwrrr like a lion!  LOL!  Oh good golly she is funny.  I think she's on track...You know what I'm not that worried if she isn't.  Children develop at their own pace.  And let me tell you flash card time usually ends up with her eating the cards, smacking the dogs with them or crawling back and forth over my legs.  So we are definitely not over doing the educational stimuli.  Lol!

Mommy Training...
I have 11 days until my very first triathlon.  Oh My God!  What am I thinking...?  My training hasn't been as awesome as I would have liked for the last 2 weeks.  Worked too much last week and this week I have no sitter.  So all my training is just running right now, and running with Lola.  But I had the best swim I've ever had last week, so I feel a little more comfortable with that...sort of... and the biking is my old reliable.  I'm a biker by nature, my legs were built for riding, so I'm not concerned about that.  I'm scared about putting all 3 together and having the stamina to finish.  All I want to do is finish.  I don't care if I'm in last place, I JUST WANT TO FINISH!
I have 3 more lbs to go and I will have reached my goal weight.  Today I weigh 133 lbs.  (holy shit)  I haven't weighed this since my wedding 11 years ago!  My eating habits have changed and I've gotten extremely comfortable with the new foods and the portion sizes.  It's been a lot of hard work to get here, but man I feel accomplished.

Daddy Training....
We had to hire a new employee 3 weeks ago, so he's been training her when I'm not there.  She seems to be catching on super fast, so that is great news.  And she's someone we've known for 7 years so the trust is already there...I mean we are leaving someone in the care of over 1 million dollars worth of vehicles, we need to be able to trust them!  We also went active with our double branding of our 1 store today.  So the hubby is training himself, me and our new hire on the new system.  He is also running the triathlon with me on the 21st.  Unfortunately he hasn't been able to train at all with his working hours.  But with his genes, he shouldn't have a problem.  He's one of those people you want to smack.  He went for a big ride last night.  He did 48 km's in 1 1/2 hours.  So I think he'll be fine with a 20 kms that's in the tri!  LOL!

That my update on what's happening in the house here.  Oh and I think Lola is teething again. Heaven help me, we just got through a month where she got 3 molars and 2 regular teeth, can't Mommy get a little break!?  Oy Vay!

Much Love!

Congratulations on all of the events! I have never tried flash cards but that sounds like fun and like Lola is loving them. Amazing job on the weight loss...I am just starting the WWW also and finding I have a lot of bad habits to break. I am impressed with your work though and congrats on the weight, etc.
