Kindergarten Already

If you can believe it...I am registering Miss LolaBean in kindergarten this week.  Oh my GAWD!!!  How is it possible that it is already time for her to go to school?  The years really do start to fly by.  We are actually going to switch her daycare situation in hopes of getting her ready for school.  And we hope it also helps Lucy as well as she is extremely shy and not overly social.   So we have made the decision to put them on the waiting list and hopefully make a smooth transition sometime in the summer.  The hardest part in all of this is telling my daycare provider that we will be making the move.  I don't know how that is going to go...!  I am hoping that we leave in good standing as her daughter is also our sitter.  It absolutely has nothing to do with her or her care for our girls, it has all to do with us prepping them for what is about to happen.  Now mind you if Lucy doesn't take to the bigger daycare centre over the home daycare then we are really screwed and will lose our position.  Argh!!!  Oh well.

The girls are both doing so well.  I don't know how much I have informed all of you about Lucy...But Lucy was nicknamed Lucifer for the first year of her life.  She was (and still can be) an extremely challenging child.  She had terrible acid reflux and she has a terrible time with teeth.  Lola used to blow out teeth with no problems.  Lucy / Lucifer will be miserable for 2 months, and then finally have a tooth break and boom just like that Lucy is back.  She also is not a child that likes to be cuddled.  She does not want you to try to comfort her.  She will throat punch you and kick you until you put her down, then she stares up and you and cries.  It is truly heartbreaking and frustrating.  The girls look SO much alike but they are polar opposites personality wise.

Okay so I told you I ran 2 half marathons.  We have now signed up for my 3rd and JD's first this spring.  And we signed up to do a half ironman this summer.  Training is in full swing.  It's very challenging after taking 8 weeks off to recover from my IT band injury.  And with juggling school, mommy hood and all my other duties.  But I'm trying and that's all that matters.

So now I will overload you with some pictures....
My child is obsessed with shoes!  There has to be some epigenetic working here!

Lola at ballet class before Halloween!  She loves dance class.  She has just moved up from the pre-dance to the actual ballet class (1 hour).  And it is fabulous for her!

Post 1/2 marathon.  Loving on my LolaBean after the hardest run on my running journey.

Pre-Race trying to pump myself up and believing I could do it!

The night we signed up for the 1/2 IronMan.  There were a few tequila shots required for that!  Lol!

Well that's all for the day!  I must get to my school work and get the girls down for naps!

Much Love!

Yeah! Holy cow Kindergarten! Our girls will be doing pre-school in the fall. I'm excited for them but not sure how it will emotionally feel (haven't had to trust care in anyone but me with the exception of primary teachers at church). I hope Lola loves it and flourishes in it. She looks so adorable in ballet. Hope they both do well with the bigger day care also. You are awesome to do a half ironman and all the other activities. Enjoyed hearing and seeing an update from you and pictures of your sweet girls.
