Fantastic Book(s)!

I am a book lover!  I love to read.  I read on average one book per week.  I usually don't write a lot of posts about the books I'm reading as I don't think of myself as critic.  I don't have anything really clever or insightful to say about significance or symbolism in the books.  I either liked, loved it or hated it.  Even if I'm not really enjoying a book I will keep reading it until the end.  I have to give every author a chance. 

You might be asking "ks, so why are you gabbing on about it now?" 

Because I am about to finish a trilogy that I am just so sad to say goodbye to.  I just have to let everyone else know that if they are looking for a fantastic new book to start, then please, please, pick these up!  I promise you won't be able to put them down.

They are action packed, drama filled, page turning awesome!  You fall in love with the most unusual character. You will think the story is going one way and then it makes a drastic u-turn.  You have no idea who the good people and all the bad people are until the end.  After book 1 you are left craving for book 2 in hopes that some of the same characters will still be present.  I am going to be sad tonight to say good bye to these wonderful characters that have truly entertained me for the last 2 weeks.  It's sad that the author has since passed on and wasn't here to know how many people loved his books.  Apparently they are in the process of making another movie about the series in English (there already is one in Swedish).  When it comes out, I will stand in line to see it on opening night.

So in conclusion fellow bloggers, if you are looking for a fantastic read that gives you a break from your ever pressing IF battle.  Pick these 3 books up and prepare to be fully entertained!

June Reading Material

June was a busy month for me... I burned through 7 books this past month.

1. Shopaholic Takes Manhattan
2. Shopaholic Ties the Knot
3. Shopaholic and Sister
4. Shopaholic and Baby
5. Undomestic Goddess
6. 4 Blonds
7. Gucci Gucci Co

My girlfriend lent them to me in hopes they would keep me busy for the summer. Ummm nope! Just a month! I think my favorite was Gucci Gucci Co. It was just an interesting story, and I liked all the main characters in the book. Not so much for Shopaholic series! They were alright. But for some reason I really didn't like the main character. It kind of drove me nuts how she constantly was getting herself into trouble (financial or whatever) and it just always seems to work itself out. I know it's just a story... I think I'll like the movie though because I really like the actress that is playing the lead. We'll see!!!

Book Nerd! That's me!

I absolutely love to read. I will read almost anything. I think I just set my record though. I was given the Twilight series for my birthday on May 16. I actually started reading the first book on the 18th and I just finished the last one last night! Okay I'm obsessive. I really enjoyed the series and I'm kind of sad that I burned through it so quickly.

I do have another series waiting in the wings, but it just doesn't seem to be grabbing my attention the way Twilight did! I've got the Shopaholic series waiting... I started it last night and only got a couple of pages into it. It seems cute, but I think right now I need a little more fantasy.

I think that might be why I read sooo much. It's an escape from my real life. I can let my imagination take me to a different place. Last summer I read the Outlander series. What a great series that was! I actually was contemplating re-reading them this summer, until my SIL gave me Twilight... Now I think I need to head back to Chap.ters and seek out a new, long series to get me through the next couple of months.

Okay I could probably go on...but I do have to say that Janet's books can really take a crappy day and make me laugh. They are super easy reads and I tend to laugh out loud when reading them. I was going to do the 50 books in 365 days, but I knew I'd probably do it anyways, and I really don't want to point out to JD how many books I actually buy! Sorry honey if your reading this! :) I love you!
